Join our thriving logistics operation in Madison, Wisconsin as a skilled Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced individuals to safely and efficiently move materials within our warehouse. Your main responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and proficiency in forklift operation are essential. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring the smooth and timely movement of products. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety, and strict adherence to all guidelines, including the correct usage of PPE, is mandatory. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of inventory.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including proper Lifting and material handling.
- Use required PPE at all times while operating machinery or in designated areas.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform manual Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to a Safe work environment.
