We are hiring a skilled Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced fulfillment center in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders. Your primary duties will involve picking specified items from warehouse shelves and then carefully packing them for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet production targets. You will be a critical link in our logistics chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. A commitment to workplace safety is paramount, and adherence to all guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The role demands physical dexterity and the capacity for repeated lifting and moving of items.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse inventory based on order sheets or scanner information.
- Verify picked items and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Select appropriate packing materials to ensure products are protected during transit.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, meeting quality standards.
- Label packages correctly for shipment according to company and carrier requirements.
- Stage packed orders for pickup by shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to team goals and overall operational efficiency within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and using required PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
