In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and meticulously packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. This position is vital to our logistics operations, contributing directly to the efficiency of our fulfillment process. You will work within a fast-paced environment, often on your feet, and will be required to perform lifting of packages throughout your shift. Adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Scan items as they are picked to ensure accuracy and track inventory.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as restocking or inventory checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists and item numbers.
- Proficiency in using scanning devices.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and using PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
