Join our busy shipping and receiving department in Provo, Utah, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate. You will be responsible for accurately processing all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that goods are handled efficiently and securely. This role is critical to our logistics operations, impacting inventory accuracy and timely delivery to our customers. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment and expect all team members to strictly follow safety protocols and utilize necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and proper packaging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials safely.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Communicate with carriers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory management as needed.
- Support the overall efficiency of the logistics flow within the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs, and utilizing safe lifting techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and wearing required PPE.
