We are looking for energetic and reliable Order Pickers to join our busy logistics facility in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders with speed and accuracy, playing a critical part in our supply chain operations. Your primary duties will involve locating products within the warehouse, picking them accurately according to order sheets, and preparing them for shipment. This position requires individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will utilize scanning technology to track inventory and ensure that all orders are processed correctly. A key aspect of this job is maintaining a safe workspace and adhering to all company policies regarding safety and material handling. We expect our Order Pickers to be proactive in identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the picking process. This role involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of items. You must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure your safety and the safety of your colleagues. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists.
- Scan items to ensure inventory accuracy and update systems.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Meet daily picking quotas and quality standards.
- Assist with stock checks and inventory management as needed.
- Perform regular tasks involving lifting and moving of products.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product codes.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and scanning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Capacity for frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines, including wearing PPE.
