Join our team as an Order Picker in Durham, North Carolina, and play a key role in our efficient distribution process. This position is essential for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating the warehouse to locate and retrieve specified items for outgoing shipments. You'll utilize technology such as handheld scanners to manage inventory and track orders. We are looking for individuals who are meticulous, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity. Safety is our top priority; all employees are required to follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. This is a demanding yet rewarding role in the fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order slips or digital lists.
- Scan items to ensure correct product and quantity selection.
- Stage picked items for the packing station.
- Maintain a neat and organized work environment.
- Operate equipment like pallet jacks safely.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize required PPE consistently and correctly.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages encountered.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring constant movement, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in order picking or a similar warehouse function is preferred.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and basic computer systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Interest in the logistics field is a plus.
