As an Electrical Sales Engineer in Field Engineering, you will be responsible for handling incoming requests, as well as pro-actively presenting upgrade opportunities considered valuable for our customers. The position also requires you to work closely with our technical disciplines to provide solutions in accordance with the customer’s requirements.
About the Role We are looking for an Electrical Sales Engineer to join our Field Engineering team within NOV Rig Technologies, Aftermarket. This role is pivotal in promoting and delivering technical upgrade solutions for drill ships and drilling rigs. Based in our Forfar, UK office, you will manage incoming upgrade requests, proactively identify customer needs, and develop tailored solutions in collaboration with our technical experts. You will play a key role in the complete sales process, from initial enquiry through to project handover.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
Negotiate business opportunities and contracts
Manage the complete sales process from enquiry to project execution handover
Work closely with technical disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with customer requirements
Comply with all NOV company and HSE policies and procedures
Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience (essential)
Sales engineer experience (desirable)Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English (essential)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (essential)
Working knowledge of ERP systems and procurement processes (desirable)
Experience in the Oil and Gas industry (desirable)
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to manage and engage stakeholders professionally across project phases
Team player with a collaborative mindset
Proactive and customer-focused approach
