Manufacturing Engineer
We're looking for a hands-on, driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and play a key role in optimizing our configured HVAC unit assembly operations. Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager, you'll document processes and procedures, lead process improvements, and support lean initiatives to boost efficiency, quality, and safety. You'll also assist in jig and fixture design and help maintain clear work instructions.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Identify, analyze and lead the implementation of process improvements
Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including but not limited to 5S, line balancing, waste reduction, and cycle time improvements.
Submit Capital Expenditure projects and lead capital projects while meeting productivity and safety goals and staying within budget and timeline constraints.
Design and source dies, fixtures and tooling to support production requirements.
Create work instructions and standard work charts, including training to production staff.
Create and maintain shop floor layouts in 2D CAD
Perform process audits to maintain Operational Excellence systems
Plan and execute cell layout updates and line balancing to optimize labor, reduce waste and improve process safety in close collaboration with production associates
Continuously learn and become an expert in problem solving, continuous improvement, product manufacturability and manufacturing best practices in a sheet metal manufacturing environment
Lead Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects from concept through execution while maintaining timelines and budgets.
Develop and enhance operator-based Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate maintenance with vendors and third-party technicians.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
B.S. in Engineering (emphasis on Industrial or Mechanical); Min. Associates Degree in Process Technology or Industrial Engineering or CET equivalent
Experience with Lean Manufacturing projects and continuous improvement practices a must
Experience in sheet metal or HVAC manufacturing is highly desirable.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks is a plus), Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.
Design experience a plus
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Passion and commitment to manufacturing, operations and continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; a true team player.
