Responsibilities:
- Retrieve requested items from warehouse shelves according to pick lists or scanning devices.
- Double-check product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy before moving to the next step.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for packaging and shipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of picking areas and aisles.
- Operate manual equipment like pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of required PPE.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues to warehouse management promptly.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Understand and follow standard operating procedures for order picking.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily order fulfillment goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in order picking or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to consistently handle Lifting requirements of up to 45 pounds.
- Exceptional accuracy and a meticulous approach to tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
- Strong sense of urgency and efficiency.
- Capacity to remain active and on your feet for the duration of your shift.
- A commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Understanding of logistics flow within a distribution center.
