We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our San Antonio, Texas warehouse. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper documentation. Your responsibilities include unloading shipments, verifying contents, inspecting for damage, and entering received items into our inventory system. A strong focus on safety and procedural accuracy is essential for this position. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in inventory management and warehouse logistics . Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Verify incoming items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and label received items for proper storage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and scanning equipment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE , such as safety vests and gloves.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- A strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
