We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be tasked with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper placement of inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Adherence to all safety protocols is paramount. This position involves significant manual dexterity and attention to detail. You will be expected to perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions immediately. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials and products.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage or production areas.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated locations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with logistics and material handling.
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
