Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining accurate inventory? We're seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana, to play a vital role in our logistics operations. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory accuracy, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and our records are up-to-date. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to prevent future errors. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of goods. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques is essential. We prioritize Safety in all our operations, and you will be responsible for ensuring that inventory management practices align with safety protocols. This role involves a significant amount of Lifting, so physical stamina is required. You will also be responsible for maintaining the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling inventory or operating equipment. Your role is critical to the efficiency of our logistics chain, impacting everything from order fulfillment to financial reporting. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to maintain quality.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
