We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our San Antonio, Texas facility. This critical role involves operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods throughout the warehouse, maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a proven track record of safe operation. You should be physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including lifting and maneuvering materials. Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and placement of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure aisles are clear.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
