We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets, ensuring the correct quantity and product identification. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with other warehouse staff to maintain inventory accuracy and contribute to the overall smooth operation of our distribution center. This role is essential to our supply chain operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols. - Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using an order picking system.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order lists.
- Use scanning equipment to track inventory movements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience in logistics is advantageous.
