Our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to support our operational needs. This role involves maintaining and operating warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, and upholding safety standards within our logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and adherence to safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials.
- Supporting inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborating with the warehouse team to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements in warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a warehouse technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining warehouse machinery.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
- Certification on specific equipment (e.g., forklift) is advantageous.
