In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise within our fast-paced distribution center. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of our warehouse. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that all products are accounted for and stored appropriately. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures. - Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve pallets of goods.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, and organizing.
- Participate in regular safety training and contribute to a safety-conscious work environment.
- Meet performance targets for productivity and accuracy.
- Proven experience as a Reach Truck Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
