We are hiring a Material Handler to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout our facility. This role is essential for our logistics network, involving the movement, storage, and organization of goods. You will utilize various equipment to transport materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and support receiving and shipping functions. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas according to safety and space guidelines.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE and adherence to safe lifting techniques.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Understand and follow logistics protocols for material movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or with operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE and utilizing safe lifting techniques at all times.
