We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately documenting and processing all incoming shipments. This includes verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and preparing inventory for storage. The position requires careful attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records, which are vital for our **Logistics** operations. While not involving heavy machinery, there will be some **Lifting** of boxes and materials. Your adherence to **Safety** protocols and proper use of **PPE** are essential. This is a critical role in our supply chain, ensuring that our inventory is managed effectively from the moment it arrives. We value reliability, accuracy, and a proactive approach to **Safety**.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Prepare received goods for stocking or further processing.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all **Safety** guidelines and procedures.
- Wear required **PPE**, such as gloves and safety glasses.
- Contribute to efficient **Logistics** by ensuring prompt and accurate receiving.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving or inventory control preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and inventory management software.
- Ability to perform moderate **Lifting**, up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Understanding of **Logistics** and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace **Safety**.
- Must be able to wear **PPE**.
