Job Description

So, what will your new role look like?

We're looking for a driven, customer-focused ShareGate Account Manager to join our growing sales team. In this role, you'll own the full revenue relationship with your accounts—leading renewals, identifying expansion opportunities, and unlocking long-term customer value.

You'll act as a trusted advisor for a global portfolio of medium, large, and enterprise organizations, helping customers evolve their Microsoft 365 governance and adopt ShareGate with confidence. With a deep understanding of our product and the realities of IT teams, you'll uncover needs early, guide strategic conversations, and connect value to outcomes.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where your consultative mindset, curiosity, and ability to drive results will be key to your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Own a portfolio of small, medium, and large accounts throughout their entire lifecycle;
  • Build consultative relationships and proactively guide customers from onboarding to adoption, expansion, and renewal;
  • Identify and close expansion opportunities (seat upgrades, cross-sell, Pro/Enterprise packaging);
  • Uncover customer needs early using product usage data, engagement signals, and strategic discovery;
  • Coordinate with Technical Support, Product, and RevOps to align on customer outcomes and address risks;
  • Communicate with clarity and empathy to support roadmap alignment, adoption, and contract renewals;
  • Run experiments across outreach, messaging, and sequencing to improve engagement;
  • Maintain clean CRM hygiene using Hubspot, Outreach, Gong, and other tools to track pipeline, risks, and multi-threaded relationships.

A typical week?

You'll meet with customers to drive value, identify growth opportunities, and lead strategic conversations that move deals forward. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Support, Legal, and Marketing to address challenges, remove blockers, and create impact.

You'll analyze usage data, monitor your pipeline, and experiment with new messaging and playbooks to drive engagement—especially across our larger accounts. You'll also level up your product and market knowledge through training and coaching, using tools like Gong and AI to work smarter.

Expect fast-paced collaboration, shifting priorities, and lots of learning opportunities.

What does your future team look like?

As an Account Manager at ShareGate, you'll join a high-performing, collaborative sales team where curiosity, impact, and experimentation are part of the daily mindset. We support each other's success and rally as one team, sharing wins and learning from losses together.

You'll be surrounded by people who value thoughtful customer engagement and are energized by solving real business challenges. This isn't your typical transactional sales team—we focus on building long-term relationships, testing new ideas, and driving measurable outcomes.

What are the next challenges awaiting your team?

  • Increasing proactive customer engagement through consultative, value-driven outreach;
  • Deepening ShareGate product understanding across accounts, especially post-migration;
  • Driving stronger renewal rates and increasing overall annual recurring revenue (ARR);
  • Unlocking more value across our Enterprise segment through strategic expansion;
  • Uncovering cross-sell opportunities earlier in the customer lifecycle;
  • Positioning our Pro and Enterprise packaging in more compelling and tailored ways.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of account management or sales experience in a target-driven environment;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Proven ability to deliver consultative, value-based customer experiences;
  • Comfortable managing a dynamic pipeline and adapting to change;
  • Curiosity for IT challenges and Microsoft 365 (governance, automation, adoption);
  • Experience in SaaS, tech sales, or inbound-led sales (an asset);
  • Familiarity with Hubspot, Outreach, Gong, or other CRM tools (an asset).

Salary range: $75–$92k CAD.
