We're seeking a visionary Executive Chef to spearhead a culinary transformation at an iconic luxury hotel in Washington D.C., launching an elevated, modern Mexican concept. This leader will define a new high-end dining direction, overseeing all kitchen operations, menu innovation (authentic yet refined Mexican), staff development (building a world-class team), financial stewardship (cost control, P&L), and upholding legendary service standards for multiple venues, from fine dining to banquets, driving a truly exceptional guest experience.

Reports To: General Manager / Director of Food & Beverage 
The Opportunity:
Join a legendary hotel on the cusp of a bold culinary reinvention, establishing a premier destination for sophisticated, modern Mexican cuisine in the nation's capital. We're looking for a creative, strategic, and operationally flawless leader to build and execute this new vision from the ground up. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Vision: Develop and implement a world-class, high-end Mexican culinary program across all hotel food & beverage outlets, ensuring authenticity, innovation, and luxury presentation.
  • Menu & Recipe Development: Design unique menus, recipes, and plate presentations that blend traditional Mexican flavors with modern techniques and premium ingredients, elevating the guest experience.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee all kitchen functions, including daily prep, execution, hygiene, equipment maintenance, inventory, and waste management.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a diverse culinary brigade, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage food costs, labor costs, P&L, and budgets effectively to meet financial objectives.
  • Vendor Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with top-tier suppliers to source exceptional, authentic ingredients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with F&B Management, Marketing, and Hotel Operations to align culinary vision with overall hotel goals and events. 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in luxury hotels or high-end, acclaimed restaurants.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading large culinary teams and managing complex kitchen operations.
  • Deep passion and demonstrable knowledge of Mexican cuisine, with a strong understanding of regional variations and high-end culinary trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent extensive experience.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
