• Cut, plate, and merchandise an assortment of meat products, including beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry.
• Prepare specialty meat items, such as sausage and cured meats.
• Maintain product quality by inspecting it against WFM standards.
• Develop and implement a sampling program that showcases our products.
• Monitor and prevent spoilage to ensure food safety.
• Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to assigned Meat Cutter Trainees.
• Adhere to a strict schedule, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and attend required trainings and meetings.
• Provide exceptional customer service, address customer needs promptly, and model effective selling techniques.
• Maximize sales potential by efficiently preparing, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
• Follow established procedures for health and sanitation, safe work practices, and weights and measures.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, adhere to equipment maintenance standards, and perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
