Our San Antonio, Texas facility is seeking a reliable and industrious Material Handler to support our logistics operations. This role is vital for ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse processes, be physically capable of handling materials, and be committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations using pallet jacks or other equipment.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or receiving areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Load and unload trucks as directed.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and aisles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any damage to materials or equipment immediately.
- Support the overall logistics flow and efficiency of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to operate manual material handling equipment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
