We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and optimization of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, monitoring stock levels, analyzing inventory data, and resolving discrepancies. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining efficient logistics operations and minimizing stock-outs or overages. We are looking for individuals with strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of inventory management principles. A commitment to safety and continuous improvement is essential. This position offers a significant opportunity to shape and manage inventory processes within a growing logistics environment. Understanding the impact of inventory accuracy on the overall logistics chain is key. Your role will directly contribute to cost savings and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams.
- Forecast inventory needs and recommend adjustments.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE usage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or management.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management principles and logistics.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
