You will be responsible for handling raw materials, finished goods, and other items using various equipment. - Receive, identify, and move materials to and from storage areas or production lines.
- Load and unload materials onto trucks and into warehouse racking.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and potentially forklifts (certification may be required).
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and maintain a clean work environment.
- Adhere to strict lifting guidelines and safe material handling procedures.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including counting and verifying stock.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Support the overall logistics process by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
- Participate in team efforts to improve warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics operations is beneficial.
