We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling logistics center in Austin, Texas. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, highly reliable, and possess excellent maneuvering skills. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials, supporting our inventory management and order fulfillment processes. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all forklift operators to strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics chain and contribute to our operational success. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling best practices is essential. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure a smooth workflow. Your expertise will help maintain efficiency and prevent damage to goods and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy and proper securing of cargo.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to management.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including operating within designated areas.
- Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all logistics and operational procedures to ensure timely and accurate handling of goods.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and forklift certification refreshers.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices for material handling.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including moderate Lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
