We are seeking a reliable Shipping Clerk to join our logistics operations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role is fundamental to ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying orders, and coordinating with carriers, playing a vital part in our company's supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling products.
- Verify order details against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales, printers, and pallet jacks.
- Load finished shipments onto trucks in an organized and safe manner.
- Communicate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to Safety standards.
- Assist with inventory tasks as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily shipping volume and accuracy targets.
- Handle any shipping-related inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software are a plus.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a consistent work attendance record.
