You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Accurate inventory management and organization are key components of this position. We are committed to a safe working environment, and all Material Handlers must strictly adhere to safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to perform safe lifting and maneuvering of materials is paramount. You will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring that materials are available when and where they are needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in an organized and secure manner.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Verify incoming materials against shipping documents and report discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE and adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations through efficient material handling.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in safe lifting techniques.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
