Job Summary:
Our Sacramento, California facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is vital for optimizing stock levels, reducing discrepancies, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining accurate inventory records in our WMS. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management best practices. A commitment to safety and process improvement is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory trends and identify root causes of variances.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and picking departments to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Manage the proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory status and performance.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with lifting and moving inventory items, up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
