Join our growing logistics team as a Material Handler in Provo, Utah! We are looking for diligent and energetic individuals to support our warehouse operations. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of materials within our facility, from receiving to dispatch. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including moving, organizing, and preparing materials for various stages of the supply chain. Ensuring a safe working environment is our highest priority, and all employees must strictly follow safety guidelines and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This physically demanding role requires the ability to lift significant weight, stand for long periods, and operate material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Organize and store inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proven ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Familiarity with various material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
