We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, implementing robust control measures, and ensuring efficient stock management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory best practices. Your expertise will be vital in minimizing discrepancies, optimizing stock levels, and supporting smooth Logistics operations. This position requires a commitment to workplace Safety , including proper handling procedures for items that require Lifting and the consistent use of required PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control, ensuring data accuracy.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories, reconciling discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, track stock movement, and manage stock rotation effectively.
- Utilize WMS and other inventory management tools to maintain accurate records.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments.
- Collaborate with operations, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless flow of goods.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to optimize warehouse space and support efficient Logistics .
- Champion workplace Safety by adhering to all safety regulations and ensuring the correct use of PPE .
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the safe handling of inventory, including items requiring significant Lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Ability to perform tasks involving manual handling and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to Safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
