Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art facility in Chicago, Illinois. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the movement, storage, and organization of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading shipments, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, and ensuring inventory is accurately tracked and managed. This position is fundamental to our overall logistics chain, ensuring a smooth flow of materials from receipt to dispatch. You will be expected to work efficiently and safely, adhering to all guidelines. The ability to work in a team and independently is key.   • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Accurately record the movement of materials and update inventory records.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
  • Use appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Certification for forklift operation preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 70 lbs.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
