Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through various control measures. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventories, reconciling discrepancies, and identifying root causes of inventory variances. You will work closely with the operations, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory management and optimize stock levels. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and data analysis is essential for success in this position. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics and supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
  • Implementing and executing inventory control procedures.
  • Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Analyzing inventory data to identify trends, losses, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records within the WMS.
  • Monitoring stock levels to ensure optimal quantities and prevent stockouts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE.
  • Promoting and adhering to safe lifting techniques.
  • Recommending process improvements for inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and experience with PPE.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs.
