We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Provo, Utah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials using various equipment. You will ensure that inventory is properly organized and accessible, contributing directly to the efficiency of our logistics operations. A strong commitment to safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to operate material handling equipment are essential for success. You'll work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to maintain a high level of productivity and ensure all processes adhere to strict safety and quality standards. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Accurately track and record material movements in the inventory management system.
- Stage materials for production or outbound shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs regularly, and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the consistent use of required PPE.
