Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow traffic patterns and signals within the warehouse to prevent accidents.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
- Properly manage Lifting of goods onto and off the forklift.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Experience in the logistics industry is highly desirable.
