We are hiring enthusiastic Order Pickers for our distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial for fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently, playing a key part in our logistics operations. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, selecting, and preparing items for shipment, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order specifications using RF scanners.
- Verify product details, quantities, and lot numbers to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate packing materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to supervisors immediately.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets established for the role.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Assist with receiving and shipping tasks as needed to support overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in order picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order pick lists and system data.
- Proficiency in using RF scanning equipment and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced logistics environment.
- Understanding and adherence to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
