We are seeking a proactive and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is fundamental to ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of all outgoing shipments. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the shipping process from order verification to carrier hand-off. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, verifying order contents against shipping manifests, ensuring proper packaging and labeling of all outbound goods, and coordinating with freight carriers for timely pick-ups. A thorough understanding of shipping procedures and warehouse logistics is crucial. Accuracy and efficiency are paramount to meet our operational demands. You will work collaboratively with warehouse staff to ensure a seamless flow of products through the shipping department. The safety of our employees is a top priority, and all Shipping Clerks are required to follow established safety protocols, including the correct and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position may require occasional lifting and moving of packages. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and are dedicated to maintaining high standards of performance in a fast-paced logistics environment.
