We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation and a passion for the food industry. This position requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Line Cook must work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that food is prepared quickly and accurately.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Food Preparation:*
* Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards.
* Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets the restaurant's presentation and taste specifications.
* Follow portion control guidelines and minimize waste.
* *Station Management:*
* Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
* Break down and clean the station thoroughly at the end of each shift.
* *Quality Control:*
* Monitor food stock and place orders as needed.
* Inspect food items for quality and freshness.
* Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items to prevent spoilage.
* *Team Collaboration:*
* Work in collaboration with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
* Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and kitchen team regarding any issues or needs.
* Assist other stations when necessary.
* *Health and Safety:*
* Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
* Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager.
* *Customer Service:*
* Assist in maintaining positive customer relations by providing high-quality food and service.
* Address customer concerns and special requests in a professional manner.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role.
* Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Food handler’s certification is a plus.
*Physical Requirements:*
* Ability to stand for long periods.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
*Work Environment:*
* The work environment is fast-paced. The Line Cook must be able to handle the physical demands and stress of working in this type of environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
