Hamilton Kent is seeking a Fabrication Operator (Splicer/Dipper) to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality gaskets used in critical infrastructure projects. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure reliable products that make a difference in communities.

Splicing involves using heated molds to join the ends of pre-cut rubber strips to form circular gaskets.

Location : 77 Carlingview Drive, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9W 5E6

Work Schedule : Day shift (7:00am - 3:00pm) and Night shift (11:00pm - 7:00am) available

• Maintain a safe and clean work area before starting tasks

• Ensure mold temperature is correctly set before splicing

• Prepare strips for splicing (dipping, sanding, heating, cleaning ends)

• Verify rubber strips for straight cuts and clean ends

• Load tape roll into machine and check quality

• Operate mold and monitor curing process

• Inspect gaskets for defects (cracks, lumps, pinholes)

• Inject silicone and check for leaks

• Record production data accurately

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

• Perform additional duties as required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

• Willingness to learn and operate measuring tools (training provided)
