We are seeking a highly motivated and professional to for an opening as a Purchasing Agent. As a member of the operations team, you will play a crucial role in managing incoming raw materials to support manufacturing in order to fulfil customer orders.
*Summary*
Join Nevco as a Purchasing Agent to play a vital role in managing procurement activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing innovative display solutions by ensuring efficient sourcing and supply chain operations.
*RESPONSIBILITIES *
* Analyze MRP Data: Review MRP demand, reports, and system data to evaluate material requirements.
* Purchase Order Management: Create and monitor purchase orders through the MRP system to acquire raw materials and components.
* Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or surplus stock, while maintaining accurate inventory data.
* Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and negotiate pricing terms.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as planning, production, receiving, and finance to ensure smooth flow of materials
*REQUIRED SKILLS:*
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
* Ability to learn MRP software.
* Proficiency with MS Excel or ability to develop skills.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
* Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Maintain accurate inventory management and control.
* Collaborate with internal departments to forecast purchasing requirements.
* Monitor market trends and identify new suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing roles.
* Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
* Proficiency with ERP systems.
* Excellent understanding of supply chain management and inventory control.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
