Job Summary:
We are hiring skilled Material Handlers to join our dedicated team in Washington, D.C.! As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement and organization of goods within our facility, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network. Your responsibilities will include receiving, staging, and distributing materials efficiently and safely. We are committed to maintaining a secure and healthy workplace, which means rigorous adherence to all safety regulations and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role requires physical strength, the capacity to handle heavy items, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and verify incoming material shipments.
  • Transport materials to designated storage or staging areas using equipment.
  • Organize inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare materials for outgoing shipments or internal transfers.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently (if applicable and certified).
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area, following all company safety guidelines.
  • Participate in inventory audits and stock management processes.
  • Support the broader logistics team in achieving operational targets.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a physically demanding role.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
