Exciting opportunity for experienced Forklift Operators in Boston, Massachusetts! Our busy logistics facility requires skilled individuals to manage the movement of goods safely and efficiently. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our supply chain, ensuring that inventory is handled properly and that operations run smoothly. This position demands a high level of responsibility, safety awareness, and operational proficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and containers with precision.
- Transport goods to designated storage areas or staging zones.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, reporting any issues or needed repairs.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to streamline logistics processes.
- Actively participate in safety training and promote a safety-first culture.
Qualifications:
A current, valid forklift operator license is a requirement. Significant experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment is necessary. A thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling techniques is essential. Must possess the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physically demanding tasks. Excellent situational awareness and strong hand-eye coordination are critical. A deep commitment to safety and correct PPE usage is mandatory. Knowledge of diverse logistics operations is a plus. Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
