We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our busy Chicago facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and inventory control. You will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
- Ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Implement and enforce proper handling procedures for all materials, including requirements for Lifting and the use of appropriate equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing measures to reduce discrepancies.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as transportation and customer service, to ensure smooth Logistics .
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring all employees use required PPE .
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Uphold company values and foster a positive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to workplace Safety .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks involving Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety and ensuring the correct use of PPE .
- Knowledge of Logistics best practices.
