We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibilities will include picking items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets and meticulously packing them for shipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of your workstation and contributing to overall warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a team dedicated to excellence in logistics. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. The ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting and standing for extended periods is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for damage or discrepancies.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping targets.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
