We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our warehouse and supporting overall operational success. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and potentially external auditors to uphold the integrity of our inventory data. Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements, adjustments, and transfers.
- Implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitoring inventory levels and reporting on stock status.
- Identifying and reporting damaged or defective goods.
- Assisting with receiving and shipping processes as needed to verify counts.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
- Collaborating with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
