We are hiring a certified Forklift Operator for our warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials within our facility. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and staging materials for shipment. This position is critical to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. A strong focus on Safety, adherence to operational procedures, and maintaining equipment are essential. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate material handling. A clean driving record and excellent knowledge of forklift safety regulations are required. This role demands a high level of responsibility and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and operating procedures to prevent accidents.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed, including organizing and cleaning.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Participate in training sessions on Safety and equipment operation.
- Must be proficient in handling various types of loads and performing precise maneuvers.
- This role involves some manual Lifting and palletizing as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification required. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment. Thorough understanding of forklift Safety procedures and regulations. Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling. Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
