We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, identifying, and stocking incoming materials, as well as picking and preparing materials for shipment. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in all aspects of warehouse operations. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to transport materials safely throughout the facility. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is paramount to ensure smooth operations and prevent hazards. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and proper material handling, is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record the movement of materials in our inventory system.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, including aisles and storage areas.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Must be comfortable with regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes. A commitment to workplace Safety is essential. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
