Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Tampa, Florida facility! As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in managing the flow of materials within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. Safety is our top priority, and you will be trained on proper handling techniques and the mandatory use of PPE. This role requires significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of heavy items, so a strong physique is beneficial. Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is highly desirable. You will be integral to our logistics and supply chain success. Key duties include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials.
- Storing materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Retrieving materials for production or shipment orders.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
- Strictly adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wearing all required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Performing frequent heavy lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Assisting with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
