Opportunity for a Warehouse Technician in Des Moines, Iowa! This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials and equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining warehouse organization, assisting with inventory control, and supporting general warehouse duties. This position requires a proactive approach to Safety, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols. Experience with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of warehouse equipment is a plus. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to Safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you. You will contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics department, ensuring operational excellence. This role may involve moderate Lifting and requires physical stamina. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Support receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure proper use and upkeep of PPE.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a warehouse technician or similar role.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is beneficial.
