We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping labels, verifying package contents against order documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all shipments comply with company policies and transportation regulations. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and proficiency in using shipping software are essential. This role plays a crucial part in our overall supply chain management, contributing to customer satisfaction through reliable delivery. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment. Employees will be provided with appropriate PPE to ensure their well-being. Tasks may involve moderate Lifting and moving of packages. Experience in Logistics and a commitment to workplace Safety are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and print shipping labels and documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against order details.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and inventory records.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure all packages are properly packed and labeled for transit.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to shipping and handling.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Operate standard office equipment and warehouse machinery safely.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to management promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and general computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Awareness of safety protocols and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Understanding of Logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety .
