Job Description

As a dynamic leader, you will oversee daily store operations, ensuring profitability and adhering to expense control measures. You will be responsible for buying, merchandising, labor management, regulatory compliance, and special projects assigned by the Team Leader.

You will also lead and develop Team Members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale. Additionally, you will maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising strategies.

  • Work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.

  • Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales reports and labor performance.

  • Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products.

  • Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendors, and ensure accurate paperwork submission.

  • Resolve team concerns and issues with the Team Leader's support.

  • Function as the point person and departmental representative in the absence of the Team Leader.

  • Set and achieve high standards of retail execution.

  • Cultivate a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.

  • Direct Team Members to satisfy and delight customers based on customer flow and needs.

  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.

  • Conduct timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.

  • Consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals.

  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.

  • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
